The Connect Institute for Research and Extension “Filomena Otaiano Losasso” is a non-profit entity created to promote and develop scientific and technological research, composed of researchers from higher education institutions and members of civil society.
In recognition of the important contribution to the dissemination of education in Marília, the Connect Institute for Research and Extension is named after teacher Filomena Ottaiano Losasso. The fair tribute praises the memory of an illustrious educator whose legacy is in the memory of several generations due to her love and dedication to teaching the first letters.
She taught her students through different strategies, songs, verses, legends and rhymes that facilitated learning in an attractive way. Her classes were pleasant and unforgettable.
Her attitude, ability and love for teaching made her an example for those aiming to dedicate to the noble profession of teaching.
